Good Morning church family!
I absolutely love that Pastor Mona has been preaching on adoption over the last two weeks. God is once again giving us tools and understanding so that we can grow and mature in our faith and our relationship with Him!
The mindset of rejection is a darkness that hinders and sometimes paralyzes us. It robs us of walking with confidence and joy in all the wonderful abundant life that God has given us.
It very often steals our blessings right in front of us.
We can either listen to the voice of rejection that says:
The spirit of adoption that God has given us says: I matter! I matter because God chose me, even when I was undeserving. The spirit of adoption:
We can be set free from this negative and destructive mindset of rejection.
First we need to acknowledge it
Honesty comes when we allow the Holy Spirit to shine his light on our hearts. In His light we can see clearly in what areas we have this issue. And be honest with the pain.
Psalm 36: 9
9 For with you is the fountain of life;
in your light we see light.
Second, we need to reject it
We need to stop agreeing with what rejection says. Psalm 36:4 says that the wicked do not reject what is wrong. When we agree with the rejection, our actions will also follow, and in turn we make decisions that hurt others.
Psalm 36:4
Even on their beds they plot evil;
they commit themselves to a sinful course
and do not reject what is wrong.
Third, we agree with God's truth and love.
We repent (turn away) from the lie and renounce it's message and then accept God's truth and His love. His word helps us do that.
Psalm 36: 5-8
Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens,
your faithfulness to the skies.
6 Your righteousness is like the highest mountains,
your justice like the great deep.
You, Lord, preserve both people and animals.
7 How priceless is your unfailing love, O God!
People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.
8 They feast on the abundance of your house;
you give them drink from your river of delights.
I want to encourage you today to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal these areas of your life that are poisoned by rejection. God wants to remove the darkness and pain and wants to replace it with His abundant love and life!
Love you guys! Have a wonderful day!

We can either listen to the voice of rejection that says:
- see they don't care about you, look at how they don't call you often or visit you or they didn't even say hello.
The spirit of adoption that God has given us says: I matter! I matter because God chose me, even when I was undeserving. The spirit of adoption:
- allows you to enjoy every moment that you have with people.
- It gives you the boldness to approach people without the fear of them pushing you away.
- The spirit of adoption helps you to be yourself, the beautiful person that God has created.
- It makes all the beautiful aspects of the personality that God gave you shine!
