Good morning everyone!
Hope you all slept well and are refreshed and ready for a brand new day and week ahead.
Yesterday, our brother Doug kicked off our new sermon series "Hold Onto Truth" and what an encouraging message it was!
One of the main points Doug made was that if we don't have a proper view of Jesus, of who He is, and what our position is in Him, then many things will influence our thinking, and deteriorate our faith. It is so important for us to really know who the God of the Bible REALLY is, what His Word says about who we are, and all the aspects of life. It's amazing that God doesn't leave us without the tools and necessary resources we can use to discover Truth for what it really actually is.
There are so many false religions, and ideas, mixture, and confusion going on in society today. It can be so discouraging to see what our culture is embracing at such a time as this, but at the same time, as we begin this series, it's an opportunity for us as believers to check our hearts and ask ourselves those reflective questions that perhaps we may be embracing false things in our beliefs as well. Do you know who Jesus REALLY is? Do you know who you are in Him? Are there lies and thoughts you may be embracing that don't line up to God's Word? Now is the time to run to God and His Word and ask Him to show you those areas that perhaps influence you in the wrong way or cause you to settle for less than God's best for your life. He is faithful and His Word never fails. If you seek Him, His Word says you and I will find Him. Ask Him today to show you those areas that don't line up to His Word, and whatever He exposes, find a Scripture that you can embrace and hold onto to get you through to the other side of that battle.
As we learned yesterday with our new "Going Beyond" Bible study, knowing God's Word and planting the seeds of Scripture in our hearts is so key to fighting off the enemy and winning the battle for the mind. May God draw us to Him and to His Word, and may we all experience a deepening in our walks with Him today. Jesus, I pray that you reveal Yourself to each of us in a personal and intimate way. Jesus, we want to know you for who You really are. Amen!
Have a great day!
In Christ,
Ashley

I was in the nursery this time . I will listen to it today sometime. But yes we really need the words of God every day. It is our life line. It's hard some day to get in for many reasons but we need it definitely. Thank you Ashley for this devotion. â¤ï¸
