Light Bearers

Good Morning Church,

Hope you all slept well and are ready for a fresh new day!
Yesterday morning we heard part 2 of "Made to Shine" by Pastor Mona and as we wrapped up this 2 part series, we know for certain that God's Word calls us to shine bright.

Philippians 2:14-16 says "Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain"

We know for sure that we are in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, but despite that we are called to shine as lights in the midst of all that darkness. This is an exhausting and impossible thing to do by ourselves. We can certainly try in our own strength, but we won't succeed for very long. However, when we rely upon the power of the Holy Spirit and walk in His ways, and let Him shine His light, we certainly can shine brightly for all to see His glory.

We were challenged to look and see if there might be blockages in our lives preventing His light from shining in our lives and to those around us. If you recognize an area where you have been blocking his light from shinning, perhaps God is shining His light in that area so He  can come and cleanse, heal, and restore you so you can then shine brightly the way in which He always intended you should. Be encouraged that if He has exposed an area, it's to bring you freedom so you can bear His light even brighter than before. Allow the Holy Spirit to do His work in you so He can then shine through you.

After all, you are His light bearer and He loves you so much!
