Good morning everyone . Doug here with sadly the last comments on this great series of Walking In Victory.
2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
Through this series I think that we have become aware that there is a new Life in Christ and we do not have to succumb to the old person we once were . This old man is dead and we have been raised to life with Christ with new beginnings , new thoughts , new plans and a new mind to follow Jesus and allow Him to work His plan for our lives out in this world .
Though this world seems to get darker every day , If we allow this new life of Christ to shine in us and simply Trust The Lord in simplicity He will make His light shine through us and glorify His name in the earth.
This series has made me realize that my faults and failures are under the blood , Jesus paid for them with His life and I am raised anew with the power to walk free and be a testimony for My God but we have a choice don't we beloved....Walk in this New Life or Go back to The old self.
We can walk Free Not by our strength not by our Power but by the spirit of the living God within us , This walk of freedom is walked by faith knowing God is who He said He is and will do what He said He will do . God always finishes what He starts.
We are Known and Loved , even when we struggle but we need to choose right , we were called to be free , called to be victorious and Called to this new life .
We have the fullness of God in our lives and Jesus keeps His promises , the Bible says the promises of God are yea and Amen . They are ALWAYS fulfilled.
Colossians 2:6 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to walk in him,
I encourage you today to stay focused on Christ , to remind yourself all day and every day of your new Identity .
I heard an old preacher once say" If I dont preach the gospel to myself all day and every day then I will find myself beginning to trust myself , trust my experience , wich is part of my falleness as a man . If I take my eyes off the Cross I can then only give lip service to His efficacy while at the same time living as if my salvation depends upon me and as soon as you go there it will lead you either to abject despair or a horrible kind of arrogance . And it is only the Cross of Christ that deals both with the dreadful depths of despair and the pretentious arrogance 0f the pride of man that says you know I can figure this out and I'm doing wonderfully well ... NO because the sinless saviour died my sinfull soul is counted free for God that justice satisfied to look on Him and Pardon me . We are not saved by good works or as part of our profession but as a result of what Christ has accomplished !!!
Rejoice today knowing Christ has accomplished all things , He is Sovereign and you can walk free Because of what He has done .

Amen! So encouraging Doug! What an amazing God we serve. He did all the work for us. We simply need to choose to believe and trust....and rest in the finished work of the cross to walk in victory! Hallelujah!
Thank you Doug for this beautiful devotion. Really encouraging. God did make me new and I am thankful for it. I am not the same as I was before. Still need Him in other areas that need to be change. I need to trust and believe in what he will do for me. God is my strength and refuge every day. 🙂❤️
We are a new person when we say yes to God Jesus the old is gone. It's also a process to let o ofhe old me. Can't do this alone at all. I need my Jesus. Oh God help me to be like you every day. I was miserable before and I don't want to be there again. That's why I need to keep my eyes on Him. He is so good. Thanks Doug it was really encouraging. 🙂❤️
