Good morning everyone,
Yesterday morning we heard part 4 of our series "Walking in Victory" by Pastor Mona.
Like Pastor Mona shared Jesus came so that the living communion between your spirit and God's Holy Spirit could be restored. This is the new life we have in Christ as believers.
2 Cor. 5:17 says "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"
Romans 6:3-5, 6-7 tells us "Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life....For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, Or be rendered powerless that we should no longer be slaves to sin— because anyone who has died has been set free from sin."
This is such a profound and powerful Truth! Our reality is that if we have accepted Jesus as Savior, and Lord, we are a new creation. The old life is gone! The new life has come! The old sinful nature has been rendered POWERLESS and we have been set FREE from the power and control of sin.
Will the sinful nature still try to rear it's ugly head from time to time even after being saved? Yes, however, we now know that the old sinful nature has been rendered inoperative and we don't have to be controlled by it. We have the life of Christ living in us and the power of sin and death no longer controls us.
Let's move past standing at the gate. Take that step. Make that choice. Remember who God says you are. Choose to walk worthy of the calling He has called you to through the life of Christ in us. Whether you feel it or you don't, this Truth is True of you no matter what. Remember who you are. Walk in the newness of life you have been given.
Listen to the song below and let it be your anthem today!
Have a blessed day!
