Mission Impossible

Good morning everyone  , Doug here with what was going through my head as Pastor Mona spoke Sunday on Making the connection ... Hope it makes sense to you ...


In the Tom Cruise Movie Mission Impossible Ethen Hunt His character's name plays an agent who works for the " Impossible Missions Force ". He could be doing his everyday life then suddenly He gets a call , given a mission and sent out to complete the task. When he gets called he prepares for the mission with the proper tools and ammunition he will need to defeat his enemy and complete the mission sending a loud statement to the opposition that as long as he can Breathe He will never settle for or accept anything less than completion of what he has been called to do. Not on His watch . The mission is never easy , it always leads him into danger but because he has been well trained he always completes the mission and because he does , he gains a Voice against that which tries to set itself up higher than the law.

Now I know this is Hollywood ,  But In the spiritual realm , according to Luke 9 1-2 as Pastor Mona spoke  , We have been called by God , given a assignment  and have been sent on a Mission . The problem is many Christians today don't answer the phone when they know God is calling because they are settled in their lifestyle and have forgotten why they are here on earth "To bring God glory through our lives through the power of the Holy spirit "

I don't know about you but I don't want my life to be settled in going to church and just rejoicing over what God is doing in our midst. On the day of Pentecost in the upper room could you imagine that when the Holy spirit came and fell on them that all they did was rejoice together and sing and praise and said " Hey lets meet back here on Sunday and do it again "....If they did their mission would end there , simply coming to church , singing and meeting together . But that was not the reason the Holy spirit was sent , He was sent to give them Power to be witnesses to the Risen Christ.

They were called for mission , given an assignment and the Bible says they left the upper room and went to the streets and testified powerfully about Jesus and because they went and obeyed what God called them to do even though the mission was impossible , the impossible became possible right from the beginning when peter opened his mouth... Peter opened his mouth and every language heard him loud and clear because the spirit was working through willing vessels...

Do you know what Happened when they obeyed ? The gained a voice against the darkness of their time !!! They didn't settle for an opinion about the darkness , because an oppinion doesn't do anything to the forces of darkness it simply keeps us going to church and saying how bad the world is getting. A voice however changes everything,,,,Why do you think the homosexual and trans movement are going foward , because they have an oppinion , NOOOO because they realized they dont need an opinion they need a Voice and they have one and they are moving their agenda rapidly along.

From the day of Pentecost the Church was given a voice , A powerfull calling to speak into  the darkness and to shine The light of God so men and women could hear Truth and be saved and brought into the kingdom....It's the vary reason the church was persecuted because Her Voice was changing the world !!! Persecution Rose because beleivers were set on their mission and it shook Hell itself >>> The church has Forgotten that ...It has forgotten that it was called , given and sent....
It's time for us to Pray and to Come back to that realization what we have been put on this earth to do...

These were my thoughts when Pastor Mona was speaking Sunday , and I left with a question in my heart  ......How important are souls to me ????? I think we have to ask ourselves that question , because scripture shows us how important it was to Jesus...He died for me and you...
