Good morning everyone,
Hope you all slept well and are well rested for a brand new day and week! His mercies are fresh and new each morning.
Yesterday morning we heard part 3 of our series "Hold Onto Truth" with Erica. What an encouraging message for each and every one of us. It's been a wonderful journey through the book of Colossians and we are still in Chapter 1! God's Word is amazing.
I would like to zoom in on verses 22-23 "Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault. But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News. The Good News has been preached all over the world, and I, Paul, have been appointed as God’s servant to proclaim it."
It's such an amazing thing that we have been reconciled to God through Jesus's death on the cross. He has made a way for us to be restored back to Him. He did the work for us. Such amazing love and grace He has poured out upon us. The Bible tells us that while we were still sinners Jesus died for us. That is true love right there. Not only that, now we stand holy and blameless with no faults as He sees us through the blood of Jesus. Just that Truth alone is amazing! The hope, the joy, the peace that this Good News brings to our hearts...
Just the the believer's in Colossae, we too can drift away from this Truth and this Hope that we have been given. We must go back to our foundations and the Truth of God's Word and reminding ourselves of who Jesus really is. We must choose to believe the Truth of who He is for us not just back when, but for today, and each and every day going forward.
No matter what the world tries to say about us, or what the enemy whispers in our ears, or even what our own hearts and minds try to trick us into thinking, we are His children, He loves us, and we ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS have HOPE because of what Jesus has done for us. Choose to believe the Truth and stand firm in it! The Good News is still Good News today!
He is our HOPE!
Have a wonderful day!
In Christ,
Ashley
