The Father's House

Good Morning Church!

Hope you all slept well and are ready for a new week ahead. His mercy is new every morning.

Yesterday, we heard part 2 of our new series "Hold Onto Truth" with Pastor Mona. What an encouraging message it was indeed!

One part that I would like to focus in on is when she talked about the story of the prodigal son found in Luke 15. Pastor Mona brought shared about the 2 sons found in that story. You had one son who ran off with his inheritance, wasted it all, and then finally came to his senses and ran back to his Father's house. On the other hand, you had the other son that remained in his Father's house, but wasted it in a different way. Even though he was in the Father's house, his perspective was off and he was forfeiting his inheritance and the blessing in a different way. But, like Pastor Mona shared, this is a story about the Father.

It's amazing to see how the Father loved and embraced both sons. His loved was unconditional and it didn't matter their mistakes, He remained the loving Father that he always was. We see this in the way that he embraced the prodigal son who ran off and then came back.

Like those 2 sons in this story, maybe you find yourself being one of them? Have  you ran off and been careless with the blessing and the promises of God and came to your senses and realize you need to come back home? Or, perhaps you have been in God's house all along, but your perspective has been off and your eyes have not been on the Father? Either way, do you need a reset?

Listen to this song below and may it remind you of the truth of being under God's grace and in His loving care today.
