Walking with Crutches

I am Loving this series , even though it is comming to get things in me that are hard to look at  , Lord do what you must do to heal my legs to walk with you and to bring Glory to your name.
Good morning everyone Doug here with a few thoughts on Sundays Sermon Walking in Victory part 5 .
Many of God's people have a hard time to walk let alone walk in Victory , some want to walk so bad where the Lord has called them but like a man with injured legs He depends on His crutches to get him around and there are things He wants to do but cannot because of the state that He is in. Sometimes He wishes He could run but always finds himself restrained to what His legs can put out and finds himself just limping around never being able to do what His heart longs to do.
In the Spiritual rhealm the same is true .
Sometimes we may have a heart for God and want to do God's will yet there are things hidden  , hidden sin , hidden plots the enemy has deceived us with that cripples the spiritual legs from following and obeying what the Lord has called us to do .
Fear often cripples the spiritual legs from going foward because we beleive the lies of the devil instead of God's truth spoken over our lives
Pastor Mona mentioned " What you beleive will affect the way you walk" . And this was an eye openner for me because for a long time I felt that I was not worthy to walk foward where God has called me to because of my past . So many times we look back at who we were , what we have done and the mess we have made . We only need to take a small glimpse of the past and the devil will use it to move your focus off of Christ and have you place your focus back on the old man , and have you beleive God is not for you .
But Jesus took the punishment  , bore my sin and my shame and everything I have done and defeated it on the Cross So I dont have to look back, I can look foward with my Jesus shinning the path of His word and Truth on my life , I can through Christ get rid of the crutches of my past because I AM FORGIVEN....I dont have to limp through this Christian walk I can Run and not be weary I can walk and not faint. 
Thank YOU Jesus for what You have done , thank you that you defeated Sin and death , Thank you for loving me enough to bear what was mine to bear but You bore it for me that I might be Free. Help us to walk in your freedom Lord , and make a testimony out of our lives for your names sake . Let your Glory shine through our weakness , Let the schemes and deceitfullness of the Devil be revealed Lord and expose the Lies that keep your people crippled. Continue to help us understand that we cannot do this by ourselves but only through Christ in me  , and help us to Rest in your faithfullness and to walk consistantly in a pattern of truth.

Collossians 2 13-15 You were dead because of your sins and because your sinfull nature was not yet cut away . Then God made you alive with Christ, for He forgave all your sins. He cancelled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by His victory over them on the Cross.
