Good morning everyone!
Yesterday we heard part 1 of our new series called "Anticipating Christmas" where Pastor Mona shared all about God's generosity and how that should cause us to live a life much the same! Please enjoy this devotion by Pastor AnthonyMurray that goes along well with the sermon we heard.
" "You have not lived until you have done something for someone who can never repay you." — John Bunyan.
The first attribute we must know about God is that God is a giver. You need to recognize and know that. Let me repeat- God is a giver. As detailed in the Bible, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”- John 3:16. The first thing God did was give. God had to help me see that He is a giver, so I could see Him in His likeness and image, and by this, I understand that if God is a giver, I must be a giver. This is something you must understand, so you can see God in His image and likeness and, in return, see yourself as a giver.
God wants us to be a blessing to others. It pleases Him when we can do something nice for someone. Rendering help to others isn’t to get something back in return, but to help them, because we are blessed to be able to do so. By being a blessing to others, we are pleasing God, and in return, God blesses the things we do. The Bible tells us that when you give generously, God will bless you in all that you do. Blessing others pleases God, and He shows this to us by rewarding us.
Daily Reflection
What can you give to someone today? Smile, hug, and love on purpose and do it because you are grateful to God.
Scriptures for the day:
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. - John 3:16.
Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this, the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to. - Deuteronomy 15:10
Prayer:
Lord, I come to you today, grateful for your generosity. Teach me to be generous. I pray that I can learn to be more like you and to be giving and to have the desire to help others. Help me do what pleases you. Amen."

I just listened to Pastor Mpna yestersday s Preaching and realized that I always loved to give ..but didnt think of doing it for God.Or with God.One gift I gaved was to make the other one happy and myself.God was nt inclued. So now I will inclued God in everything.
Good morning I always loved to give.It makes me happy. In the past one of my sister and I had a friend who had nothing so we shared alot of our stuff. We were happy to share. One Christmas day I cooked a big turkey and invited people going to mental health not well .There were 5 of them made a big meal gave them a gift.I was so happy to give.Giving is my joy aint looking for nothing in return. So God is a giver He has given me so much.He even died on the cross for me my sins are forgiven. We have an amazing God.When we give it dosent have to be big but from the hearth...a smile open the door for someone..little actions. When we go to the restaurant ...store give a compliment.I love to give.
