Good morning forever family!
Even though no one likes to hear that life will bring pain, it is reassuring to live with reality in mind.
Jesus said that in this life there will be trouble but that he has overcome the world.
I love how Michael explained on Sunday how this scripture that says that God won't give you more than you can handle is often taken out of context. How it refers to sin and temptation and not suffering.
God will sometimes allow suffering in our life that is more than we can bear.
John 16:33 NKJV
Note here that he does not say that we have overcome the world, but that He has overcome the world.
This is our hope, this is how we can lean into the pain, knowing that God is sovereign and that ultimately has control and victory.
In great moments of suffering, I believed that I would walk away destroyed and would be defeated and I remember the sweet reassurance of the Holy Spirit showing me that not only was I going to survive this moment but that I would come out stronger.
And that is why we come to a place of acceptance in the pain. Knowing that God will produce something wonderful and eternal out of this pain.
II Corinthians 4:16-17 NKJV
Love you guys and have a wonderful day!

[33] These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

II Corinthians 4:16-17 NKJV
[16] Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. [17] For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,
